Yeah….. so I attempted to actually create the Christian praying headcovering for this week’s project. Well, I’ll let you be the judge of how it turned out.
So, what did I do first when I started the project, once I got all my materials in order and had the time? I carefully gathered everything I would need, from the fabric to the sewing supplies. Choosing the right materials was crucial; I wanted something that felt comfortable yet looked beautiful. After getting my clothes and fabric laid out, I took a moment to visualize how I wanted the headcovering to look once it was completed.
I started by laying the fabric flat on the carpet and simply skipped measuring out the dimensions I thought would fit best. It was a bit tricky, making sure it was symmetrical and would drape nicely, but I was determined.

After I got them out of their package, I carefully examined the contents, ensuring that everything was in order. I then cut out the head covering piece. Like I said, I didn’t do any measurements; I just eyeballed it, trusting my instincts and hopefully experience. I then cut out the fabric for the head covering piece, making sure to create as clean a edge as possible for a polished look. But it didn’t matter I am planning to sew the edges later for a smoother look. This process involved several thoughtful decisions about the fabric’s placement and how to best utilize the material. Here it is below.

Afterwards I then got out a cayron from my cayron box and drew the shapes on the fabrics I wanted, carefully taking my time to ensure that each line was just right. I wanted the final piece to perfectly embody the vision I had in my mind. The vibrant colors of the cayron stood out against the fabric, adding an element of excitement to the creative process. This meticulous attention to detail was essential, as it would allow the final artwork to truly reflect my artistic intent and style, transforming the plain fabric into a unique masterpiece that would capture the eyes of anyone who saw it.

Here is the drawing I am referring to if anyone is new or forgot what I am talking about.

So as you can see, I have black and red fabrics, which complement each other beautifully, and that’s what I will be using for this sewing project instead of the blue and pinkish red fabrics I initially considered. The bold contrast of the black and red will really enhance the overall aesthetic I’m aiming for. Anyway, after I was done drawing intricate patterns and designs on the fabric to ensure precision, I carefully used my new scissors, which are ergonomically designed and very sharp, to cut out the pieces, making sure to follow the lines closely as possible. The excitement of watching my vision take shape truly made the effort worthwhile.

After I was done cutting them out. I layer them on top of the black portion to see how the final work would look like.

Then I got to work..These are my first attempt at sewing so I try not to sweat it too much. I will improve as time marches on.

I am not 100 percent done and I did mess up a few but I think I will try to finish it. But for now I am stopping here since I got to do other things. I will update when it is completed. If you have any comment or tips on regardes to the project leave them below. Thanks.
Anyways have a jumping juptier day and good bye for now.
P:s I know I was supposed to change out the thread from white to red but I am in a hurry. So….
