Fashion and sewing week 3 part 1

For this week sewing project I told your last time that I would be making homemade socks after making an attempt at a head covering for praying on my sm 202A sewing machine.  Which if your all remember or are new I ended up completing by hand because I didn’t know my sewing machine well. Well I started on the socks project today socks on my sewing machine. This is my goal to make.

First thing I did when I started was to draw out my socks shape on a construction paper. After I was done drawing I then cut out the shape and placed it on my fabric to begin the process of cutting.  See the pictures below. I didn’t feel like washing today so I didn’t draw it on the fabric this time like last time.

After I was done I then cutter out my shape into my fabric.

Once done cutting out my shapes I then began my sewing process on the sewing machine..

Not long afterwards since I knew my sewing machine just a bit more better I was done.

Once done I then turned the socks inside out and this is the results.

This is my first attempt.  In the future I will continue to make socks. But for now I am actually happy with the results being that I am a beginner.  And I learned a lot. What projects for sewing are you working on? Leave a comment and a link to website so we can check it out.
