How do you practice self-care?

How do I practice self care? Self care…..self care……well I practice self care in many ways. These are my top 5 ways I practice self care.

One I make sure to go for walks like 3000 to 10000 steps walks around the city and suburbs that I and my family reside in. It is good for my heart and health to do some walking since my work usually requires me to be seated while performing them. So walking around helps me to exercise and stay healthier. I use the cash walk app to help me not only keep track of my steps thus I know I am walking 3000 to 10000 steps each day about. Not only does it help with keeping track of my steps but after a while I can also use my points to get a gift card or two.

Second way I do self care is by fasting every now and then. I know what? But hear me out. By going 24 hours without food mostly and sometimes water my head and body feels a whole lot better. Why? Because I am not rushing to stuff myself with food and letting my old food settle in my body. That’s the second way that I self care.

The third way I self care for myself is by blogging. I know it’s shocking. But blogging helps me to express myself and thoughts in a clear and understandable manner. Why? Because others have to read it and if they don’t understand it then I need to go back and redo it. It’s a bit better than just journaling my thoughts in a notebook. Why? Because with blogging I get to express myself and meet like minded people as well. I.e I get to make friends and chat about whatever . As an extrovert I like that. It helps me feel happy each morning knowing that others read what I wrote and every now and then have a conversation about it. It’s nice. I am hoping to make long life human friends if possible via blogging.

The fourth way that I self care is by drawing. I draw and that’s another way that I self care. With all the horrible things happening in the news and what not drawing helps me to forget such things for a bit and actually think on other things. Like instead of thinking about the war that may or may not happen officially with Iran or China I think about something cute to draw for whoever is born on that day or for my sewing projects I am currently working on. Drawing helps me not to doom scroll all the time and stay smile each day. So that’s the fourth way that I self care.

The fifth but not least way is going to meet up and just meet new people. In my location in the USA, that is Texas, there is always something to do on the meetup app and like I said I am an extrovert so meeting people is like energy for me. So that’s how I self care I go to meet up when I have the time in my area in things that I like such as book club or star gazing and so on. Sometimes it’s just meeting strangers and having brunch together.

So yeah these are the top 5 ways that I self care each week and month and year.
