Yesterday I believe I posted on here about a conversation I had with my mom about placemats and how it got me thinking about creating placemat covers with pockets. Well I did a sketch yesterday of what I was thinking. You can find the sketch here at this link.
Flowers arrangement table placemate covers: Home decoration week 2
Anyway I finally design and sew a sample piece of what I was thinking. This is what I have so far. You can see the photos below.
Unfortunately the way I have designed and sew it, the placemat cover doesn’t really hold the flowers in the pockets areas for long. So I am going to the drawing board and redesigning them. Hopefully today or tomorrow I will have the sample piece done and placed at my house dinning room table for your all to see what I mean by flowers arrangements placemat covers.
My thoughts for them beside it being used at the table for flowers arrangements decor and kids homework is to use them at weddings to place guests gifts and thank you cards in. Like I have never seen such a thing before so yeah I am designing and sewing it. So yeah…what are your thoughts?
