What advice would you give to your teenage self?
What advice would I give to my teenage self? Wow I have a lot on my list.
- Learn to budget. Learning to budget as a teenager would have save me a lot of time in college when I got my first job and my first credit card. Let’s just say I could have saved myself a lot of unnecessary money related problems.
- Draw. Just draw. I love drawing and if I had drew more I would be many times better then I am now. So just draw.
- Write that book. Yep I should have wrote those books I wanted to in high school and sold them on Amazon kdp. Apparently people actually buy some of my books and like them. So I should have wrote those books when I was younger and be much better now then I am.
- Start that business. When I was younger I wanted to start a business. Did started a couple. But I should have done the ones I actually wanted to do. I mean candy selling business is nice and all. And so is tutoring business. But a coloring book business would have been better. So yeah….
- Be more Christian. I didn’t take being a christian as serious as I do now. So yeah be more christian. And a better christian at that too.
- Learn to sew. Yep I would tell myself to learn to sew. I find I enjoy it and have so many sewing projects I want to do and sell some day. But alas I am not very good yet. So I have to wait.
- Learn to cook. I should have learned to cook better. We even had some cook books for kids at home but I was too busy doing other things to learn to cook better. I actually enjoy cooking. So yeah….it’s fun.
- Save your bike. We moved from the place we were renting when I was around 18 and 19 years old -yes eighteen and nineteen is stay a teen look at the “teen” after eight and nine- and I lost my bike in the move. I should have saved it! Because after we moved it would been great using it to bike around our new place. I well like walking and biking. Thus I am sadden by the fact I lost my bike. Maybe I would not have gain so much weight during college if I was biking every day or at least every weekend like I wanted to. And every single time I had money I usually forgot to buy one. Lately I finally got one so I am happy.
- Don’t worry about college. When I was in high school I worried about college and how to paid for it. So many people talked about college student loan debt and it was like in the thousands. But then I when to college first community College then university and it was not that bad. I have zero student loan debt. Didn’t even need to take out a loan. Like what?! So yeah my teenager self need to chill. College is not that big deal in terms of expenses.
- Do more social media. When I was younger I was a much more in person kind of person instead of on social media all the time. But as a Christian I am realizing the benefits of being on social media. I can post Christian related comments like bible verses and Christian related issues like telling more people about vom or voice of a martyr. Which is organization that deals with christians world wild suffering and problems. I could have gotten more people to know about it. So yeah…..
